The production team behind the Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! anime has revealed that Shizuka Ishigami will voice the character Arisu Terui. The announcement was accompanied by a new character promotional video and a visual showcasing the design, building anticipation for the series' upcoming debut this October.
Ishigami joins a cast that already includes Shōgo Sakata as the beleaguered protagonist Mizunoe Ume, alongside Haruka Shiraishi, Miyu Tomita, and Hiyori Kōno. The project is currently in development at studio Passione, with Naoyuki Tatsuwa—known for his work on Nisekoi and Gourmet Girl Graffiti—serving as director. The series scripts are being handled by Masahiro Yokotani, who brings experience from high-profile projects like Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- and Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!.
Adapted from Muchimaro’s popular manga, which won the print category at the 2023 Next Manga Awards, the story follows Ume’s chaotic tenure on a student council populated by eccentric and endearing personalities. While Seven Seas is set to bring the manga to English-speaking readers this September, audiences can look forward to the television adaptation arriving on screens later this fall.
