A new anime adaptation of Kōji Miura's manga "Hidarikiki no Eren" (Eren the Southpaw) is slated for a Spring 2026 release. The series will be animated by a joint effort from Production I.G and Signal.MD.

The story centers on Koichi Asakura, a disillusioned advertising designer who revisits a place from his youth, encountering Eren Yamagishi, a prodigious left-handed graffiti artist navigating her own challenging path in New York. The adaptation promises a dramatic exploration of artistic struggle and recognition.

This marks the latest project for both studios, with Production I.G known for its work on "Psycho-Pass" and "Haikyuu!!", and Signal.MD having recently animated "Tsurune: The Linking Shot". The series targets an audience drawn to character-driven dramas with a focus on visual arts and the adult cast experience.
