The show reimagines the historical Three Kingdoms era by dropping legendary general Gien into modern-day China to hunt down a high school student named Sonshin, who is plagued by prophetic dreams.
Soul Buster blends historical figures and swordplay with urban fantasy elements and superpowers. The narrative kicks off as Sonshin finds himself in a life-or-death struggle against Gien, setting the stage for a conflict rooted in ancient history but unfolding in a contemporary setting. The series concluded its original run in Fall 2016.
