Yoshihiro Togashi, the acclaimed creator of Hunter x Hunter, has shared a unique crossover illustration to mark his progress on chapter 430 of the manga. Unlike his usual updates featuring sketches on a whiteboard, Togashi presented fans with art that blended characters from his series with those from his wife Naoko Takeuchi's iconic Sailor Moon.
The artwork prominently displays Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter alongside Artemis, reimagined as a maneki neko (lucky cat) with a coin reading "Thanks," and Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon. Sailor Mars is depicted holding a charm inscribed with "4/17," referencing her birthday.
Togashi stated that he is drawing strength from his wife's support. He also included hashtags referencing the Artemis II lunar mission and a new Sailor Moon dinner theater show, suggesting the art might also be a playful nod to these projects.
While the Hunter x Hunter manga remains on hiatus, Togashi indicated that an official announcement regarding the publication start date for chapter 420 and subsequent chapters will be made by the Jump editors. Fans are encouraged to watch for this upcoming news.
