A significant number of anime titles have been added across YouTube and Netflix this week, offering a diverse range of content from short films to feature-length productions.
YouTube has seen the addition of several short films, including Ryoji Yamada's Waiter, a brief narrative about a night out after work, and Jade, which explores a woman's struggle with illness. Music videos also feature prominently, with Daoko's Boku (Re-Arrange) directed by Takashi Ohashi and sasakure.UK's QUI featuring Hatsune Miku now available. YOASOBI's Encore and Haruka (animated by Kanae Izumi) have also arrived, alongside Endless Vide, created for an April Fool's event. Further music content includes Honeycomb Summer from Ensemble Stars!!'s unit Crazy:B and I "Witch" You A Happy Halloween! from the group Switch. Rounding out YouTube's additions are The Naked King, a fantasy tale of a demon's descent into human life, and Zdravstvuite!, a slice-of-life narrative about a Russian teacher. Finally, the Love Live! franchise adds Shiny Racers, a music video from Mari Ohara's solo album.
Netflix has bolstered its anime offerings with two notable titles. Exception, a sci-fi anime set in a distant future where humanity has migrated to another galaxy, has been added with dub and sub. Additionally, the fantasy film Bright: Samurai Soul, which follows a ronin and an orc assassin in Meiji-era Japan, is now available for streaming.
