The digital manga platform Emaqi has expanded its catalog with the addition of eight new titles, headlined by the dark fantasy series Bloody Sugar Laughs at the Night by Matsuri Mido. The first three volumes of the series, which follows two brothers hunting a mysterious emotion-feeding virus, are scheduled for release on September 4.

In addition to the Mido series, the platform is rolling out several other titles as part of its ongoing expansion. Certain releases within this new batch are designated for the Emaqi Premium service, allowing subscribers access to the content as part of their monthly plan. The platform, operated by the AI localization company Orange Inc., continues to focus on rapid digital distribution for its growing library of licensed manga.

While the platform's AI-driven approach to localization remains a point of interest for industry observers, the current release schedule highlights a mix of genres now available to English-speaking readers. With eight new titles arriving simultaneously, the platform is clearly aiming to increase its volume of content to compete in the crowded digital manga space.
