The fantasy rom-com Dungeon Friends Forever is nearing its end. Publisher Kadokawa has officially listed the eighth compiled volume of Yasuhisa Kuma’s series as the final installment, with a scheduled release date of November 20.
Since its debut in Monthly Comic Alive in January 2022, the series has chronicled the unique dynamic between Van, a human warrior, and Ryuka, a dragon girl who functions as a dungeon boss. The narrative centers on Van’s persistent efforts to visit his childhood friend, a task that forces him to battle through her monstrous subordinates each time they wish to catch up.
Seven Seas Entertainment handles the English-language release of the title. While the Japanese market prepares for the conclusion, English readers can expect the seventh volume to arrive on October 27. With the story wrapping up at eight volumes, the series provides a concise, completed arc for those who enjoy fantasy-based romantic comedies.
