Bandai Namco Entertainment America has officially revealed Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, confirming the long-teased "Age 1000" project during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 event. The latest installment in the popular fighting game series is slated for a 2027 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The announcement comes after years of development, with Akio Iyoku confirming the game has been in the works for approximately six to seven years. A key highlight is the inclusion of a brand-new original character, designed by the legendary Akira Toriyama himself. Iyoku also shared that Toriyama contributed to the game's world-building and character concepts, promising a deep and authentic Dragon Ball experience.
The Dragon Ball Xenoverse series began in 2015 with the original Dragon Ball Xenoverse, available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Its sequel, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, launched in 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, later expanding to Nintendo Switch in 2017 and Google Stadia in 2019. The latter title received current-gen upgrades for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in May 2024.
