Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is set to receive a massive influx of content with the upcoming "Super Limit Breaking NEO" DLC, scheduled for release on July 30. The expansion significantly broadens the game's scope, adding 33 new playable characters ranging from original Dragon Ball icons like Mercenary Tao and Android 8 to franchise staples like King Vegeta and Super Android 17.
Central to this update is the new Limit Breaker Journey mode, a solo experience that allows players to train and level up specific fighters. By navigating various destinations and managing stamina, players can unlock "Battle Arts" to enhance their stats. Crucially, these character improvements are persistent, carrying over into other game modes to provide a deeper sense of progression for your roster.
Beyond the paid DLC, Bandai Namco is rolling out a free update introducing new combat mechanics. Players will gain access to "Sparking! Boost," which utilizes Skill Stock for enhanced maneuvers, and "Chain Blasts," a system designed to keep the pressure on opponents by tagging in reserve allies mid-combo. With four new stages and additional Episode Battles included, the update aims to revitalize the competitive arena fighter experience for both long-time fans and newcomers.
