The recently launched open-world action RPG, NTE: Neverness to Everness, has drawn attention from players for its inclusion of numerous homages to iconic anime and game locations. Since its release on April 29, players have identified striking similarities to homes and environments from beloved series.
Notable discoveries include the central Nobi residence and its adjacent open lot, instantly recognizable to fans of Doraemon. Additionally, the Nohara family home from Crayon Shin-chan appears to be recreated within the game. Fans of Initial D will also find nods to the Fujiwara Tofu shop and the iconic Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86.
Further references spotted by players and reported by Japanese news outlets include a bridge resembling the Fuyuki Bridge from the Fate franchise, a campsite logo reminiscent of Laid-Back Camp, and an apparent spoof of the video game Exit 8. Reports also surfaced regarding a poster for an in-game film, 'Summer Clear Sky,' which bears a strong resemblance to Makoto Shinkai's 2019 film Weathering With You, though this has not been independently verified.
