The second promotional video for the television anime adaptation of Devils' Crest has arrived, bringing with it a confirmed global release date. The series, based on the light novels by Sword Art Online creator Reki Kawahara, is scheduled to begin streaming worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on November 6. The new trailer also offers a first listen to the ending theme song, 'ReaL,' performed by Soala.
Alongside the trailer, the production team announced two additional cast members joining the project. Atsushi Tamaru will voice Shin Haizaki, while Ayumu Murase is set to play Kakeru Niki. They join a previously announced ensemble that includes Haruka Shiraishi as Yuma Ashihara and Konomi Inagaki as Sawa Ashihara. The opening theme, 'Shinka,' is performed by Ado.
Production I.G is handling the animation, with Shinji Ushiro serving as chief director and Kenichirō Komaya as director. The creative team also features Eiji Umehara on series composition and character designs by Yukiko Horiguchi, who illustrated the original novels. The music is composed by Yūki Hayashi and Naoyuki Chikatani.
This project marks another high-profile adaptation for Kawahara, whose bibliography remains a cornerstone of modern light novel-to-anime pipelines. While the Sword Art Online franchise continues to maintain a strong presence on platforms like Crunchyroll and HIDIVE, Devils' Crest shifts the focus toward a survival-game premise involving a VRMMORPG. With the premiere date now locked, it remains to be seen how the series will balance its darker, life-or-death tone against the established tropes of the genre.
