Devils' Crest, the upcoming anime adaptation of Reki Kawahara's novel series, has unveiled its first promotional video and announced a November 6 premiere date on Amazon Prime Video. The trailer showcases the series' opening theme song, titled "Shinka" (Evolution), performed by popular artist Ado.

The anime features Haruka Shiraishi as Yuma Ashihara and Konomi Inagaki as Sawa Ashihara. The production is helmed by Production I.G, with Shinji Ushiro serving as chief director and Kenichirō Komaya directing. Eiji Umehara is in charge of series composition, while Yukiko Horiguchi, the original novel's illustrator, is designing the characters. Music for the series is being composed by Yūki Hayashi and Naoyuki Chikatani.

The story follows eleven-year-old Yuma and his classmates trapped in a deadly VRMMORPG called Actual Magic. Facing monstrous creatures and a class member transformed into a monster, their only hope lies with the demon Valac, who possesses Yuma's twin sister. Guided by Valac, Yuma and his party embark on a mission to rescue a missing friend.

Reki Kawahara, known for the Sword Art Online and Accel World series, launched the Demons' Crest novels in November 2022. Yen Press has licensed the novels for English release, with the third volume published in December. A manga adaptation, with art by Tomoe and script by Koroku Takano, also began serialization in November 2022.
