Fans of both the long-running Detective Conan mystery series and the magical girl action of Star Detective Precure! have reason to celebrate as the two anime will feature crossover episodes in the coming weeks. The announcements came from the official websites for both franchises.
The first crossover will occur in Star Detective Precure! episode 18, titled "Meitantei no Assemble" (Great Detectives Assemble), airing May 31. This episode will see characters from Detective Conan, including Conan Edogawa himself, Ran Mōri, and Kogorō Mōri, encountering the Precure team while investigating a stolen artwork. Together, they will confront the Phantom Thieves.
Following this, the Detective Conan anime will air its own crossover episode on June 6, titled "Hanamaru na Answer" (The Flower Seal Answer). This installment will feature Cure Answer from Star Detective Precure!. The episode's plot involves a series of jewel robberies in Beika Town, which excite Ayumi as she recognizes the similarities to her favorite Precure anime. Conan and the Detective Boys will be on hand to guard a jewelry store targeted by the thieves, leading to an encounter with the Precure character.
Star Detective Precure! premiered in February and is available on Crunchyroll in multiple regions worldwide. The Detective Conan anime, which debuted in 1996 and is celebrating its 30th anniversary, is also currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
