Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway, the 29th film in the long-running franchise, maintained its top position at the Japanese box office for its second weekend. The movie pulled in an additional 1.147 million tickets, generating 1,718,683,200 yen (approximately $10.79 million USD). To date, the film has sold a total of 4.22 million tickets, accumulating 6,343,397,300 yen (around $39.83 million USD). This success follows a record-breaking opening weekend for the franchise.

The latest installment focuses on Chihaya Hagiwara, a motorcycle division leader within the Kanagawa Prefectural Police, voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro. The film also features key characters like inspector Jugo Yokomizo and teenage detective Masumi Sera. Directed by Takahiro Hasui and scripted by Takahiro Ōkura, the movie's score was composed by Yūgo Kanno, with Misia providing the theme song "Last Danced Anata to."

Meanwhile, Eiga Doraemon: Shin Nobita no Kaitei Kiganjō (Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil), the 2026 Doraemon film, fell to the #4 spot in its eighth weekend. It earned 72,253,500 yen (about $453,700 USD) during the weekend. The film, a remake of the 1983 classic, has achieved a total of 3.18 million tickets sold and 4,018,802,550 yen (approximately $25.23 million USD) in cumulative earnings. It previously held the #1 spot for six consecutive weekends after its February 27 release.

Other films in the rankings also saw shifts. Shingo Yamashita's anime film Cosmic Princess Kaguya! held steady at #5 in its ninth weekend, earning 114,999,300 yen (about $722,100 USD) and bringing its total to over $12.79 million USD. The live-action adaptation of Kureha's light novel series The Ogre's Bride dropped to #9, while the second live-action film based on Satoru Noda's Golden Kamuy manga slipped to #10.
