Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway, the 29th film in the long-running franchise, has officially surpassed 10.8 billion yen at the Japanese box office. To commemorate the milestone, original creator Gōshō Aoyama released a new illustration featuring Conan Edogawa alongside characters Chihaya Hagiwara, Kenji Hagiwara, and Jinpei Matsuda.
The film, which premiered on April 10, experienced a record-breaking opening weekend, earning 3.5 billion yen from 2.3 million tickets sold. The celebratory sketch depicts a conversation between Kenji and Jinpei about the film's success, with Chihaya chiding them in the background.
Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway centers on Chihaya Hagiwara, the leader of Kanagawa Prefectural Police's motorcycle division, voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro. The movie also prominently features Chihaya's late younger brother Kenji Hagiwara and his Police Academy classmate Jinpei Matsuda, among other returning characters.
