Kojima Productions has released a new teaser trailer and visual for Death Stranding Isolations, an upcoming anime series based on the universe of Hideo Kojima's game franchise. The series is currently in production at E&H production under the direction of Takayuki Sano, with Hideo Kojima serving as executive producer.
Newly announced staff members include scriptwriter Tow Ubukata, character designer Sayaka Koiso, and art director Yann Le Gall. The project features original character designs by illustrator Ilya Kuvshinov.
Set in North America immediately after the events of the original game, the story follows a young girl who prefers isolation in the wake of the cataclysmic "Death Stranding." The narrative explores the unforeseen consequences of the continent's reconnection via the Chiral Network, introducing new characters who navigate the landscape alongside the established world of Bridges.
This project is distinct from the previously announced animation feature film, DEATH STRANDING MOSQUITO, and the separate live-action film adaptation currently in development at Hammerstone Studios.
