The production team behind Dark Machine the Animation has unveiled a third promotional video, providing a fresh look at the series while confirming its ending theme, "Galaxy Mode" by Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS. The track is scheduled for a broader release on October 21 as part of the group's upcoming album.
Beyond the screen, the project is branching into print. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kei Kondō will debut on September 24 via the Comic Ruelle and Comic Jardin platforms, allowing audiences to engage with the series' setting ahead of its television launch. The anime is set to begin its broadcast on October 13 on Fuji TV, with Crunchyroll confirmed to stream the series internationally as it airs.
Directed by Kazumi Terada at studio Production +h., the story takes place in a future where factory robots have been converted into combat mechs to compete for resources. The creative staff includes notable industry figures such as creative producer Gorō Taniguchi and chief mechanical designer Hidetaka Tenjin. The series features an extensive voice cast, headlined by Kenshō Ono as Kairi and Miyuki Sawashiro as Rudora.
This anime acts as a narrative expansion for the "asynchronous big team arena shooter" game of the same name, which has been in development since 2023 using Unreal Engine 5. With the game currently in Early Access and the anime's broadcast schedule finalized, the project is moving toward a synchronized rollout.
