Dark Machine the Animation is officially set to launch its broadcast run on October 13, starting on Fuji TV at 25:45 JST. Following the initial premiere, the series will expand to Kansai TV on October 15 and BS Fuji on October 20. The project, which is planned for global distribution, explores a near-future setting where a gaming metaverse serves as the backdrop for high-stakes mech combat.

The production team also introduced three new cast members who will voice the members of Stellatus, a rival team to the protagonists that doubles as an idol unit: Nao Tōyama as Ark, Nonoka Ōbuchi as Denebora, and Rei Nakashima as Spica. These actors join a large ensemble cast that includes Kenshō Ono as Kairi and Miyuki Sawashiro as Rudora.

Behind the scenes, the series is being produced by Production +h. with Kazumi Terada directing. The project benefits from high-profile industry veterans, including creative producer Gorō Taniguchi and chief mechanical designer Hidetaka Tenjin. The series will feature the opening theme song "Sonzai Riyū Kai" by BUCK-TICK.

While the anime is an original production, it shares its world with the Dark Machine arena shooter game, which has been in development since 2023 using Unreal Engine 5. With the game utilizing blockchain-based mechanics and NFT assets, it remains to be seen how closely the anime's narrative will mirror the game's specific 2079 lore or if it will function as a distinct story within the same universe.
