Dark Horse Manga revealed at its Anime Expo panel that it has licensed Gantz for a deluxe hardcover release in North America. The first volume of the Gantz Deluxe Edition is scheduled to arrive on April 6, 2027, and will collect the first three volumes of Hiroya Oku's acclaimed sci-fi series.
The synopsis details the return of Tokyo schoolmates Kei and Masaru after a fatal train accident, only to find themselves resurrected in a mysterious room with other strangers. Under the direction of a black sphere, they are forced into a deadly game of hunting alien monsters with advanced weaponry.
This new deluxe edition promises a premium presentation for fans, featuring an oversized hardcover with a faux leather cover adorned with silver foil. It will also include matte black sprayed edges and a convenient ribbon bookmark, enhancing the collector's experience for Oku's intense narrative.
