The second cour of the Daemons of the Shadow Realm anime is set to premiere on July 4, with a new promotional video revealing the upcoming theme songs. The trailer showcases "back shot" by Masanori Otoda as the new opening theme, and Kei Sugawara will perform the ending theme "Kujaku".
The series, adapted from Hiromu Arakawa's manga, follows the story of Yuru and his twin sister Asa in a remote mountain village. As one of the top-rated anime of the Spring 2026 season with a 7.96 score on MyAnimeList from over 26,000 voters, the continuation of the story carries significant expectations.
Directed by Masahiro Andō at Studio Bones Film, the anime features a cast including Kenshō Ono as Yuru and Yume Miyamoto as Asa. The first half of the series featured the opening "Tobu Toki" by Vaundy and the ending "Tobō yo" by yama. The anime premiered on April 4 and is scheduled for a 24-episode run across two cours. Crunchyroll is streaming the series with an English dub.
