Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is officially set to hit Netflix on October 20, as revealed in a new teaser trailer released today. The follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2022 series will consist of 10 episodes, offering a fresh, standalone narrative described by the production team as a gritty tale of redemption and revenge set within the neon-drenched world of Cyberpunk 2077.

Production sees several key creative voices returning from the original series. Kai Ikarashi, who previously served as a storyboard artist and animation director, steps into the director's chair for his first series-length project. He is joined by returning writer and producer Bartosz Sztybor, scriptwriter Masahiko Otsuka, and lead character designer Ichigo Kanno. The series also features a musical contribution from rapper RICO NASTY, whose track "YOU CAN'T RUN FROM ME" is highlighted in the latest promotional footage.

The voice cast includes Momoka Terasawa as Roman Carax, Akari Kitō as Talia Yang, Kōki Uchiyama as D, and Kentarō Tone as Weak Kingsley. The English dub will feature performances by Valeria Rodriguez, Kimoy Lee, Nazeeh Tarsha, and veteran actor Clancy Brown.

This release follows the massive success of the original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which remains a standout title in the Cyberpunk franchise, rooted in Mike Pondsmith’s tabletop RPG. While the new anime prepares for its streaming debut, the franchise continues to expand through other media, including the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness manga and upcoming home video releases across North America, Europe, and Oceania.
