The upcoming anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has revealed its Japanese and English voice casts, alongside details for its premiere. The first episode is set to debut at Anime Expo on Friday at 7:30 p.m. PDT in the Crypto.com Arena. The full series, which continues the acclaimed story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, will begin streaming on Netflix this fall.
Newcomers to the series include Momoka Terasawa and Valeria Rodriguez as Roman Carax, and Akari Kitō and Kimoy Lee as Talia Yang. Kōki Uchiyama and Nazeeh Tarsha will voice the enigmatic 'D', while Kentarō Tone and Clancy Brown are set to portray Weak Kingsley. Adding to the sonic landscape, rapper RICO NASTY has penned and performed the track 'YOU CAN'T RUN FROM ME,' featured in the second teaser trailer.
Helming this new 10-episode standalone narrative is director Kai Ikarashi, who previously contributed as a storyboard artist and animation director on the original series. Producer and writer Bartosz Sztybor returns to the project, joined by Ichigo Kanno as lead character designer and Masahiko Otsuka as scriptwriter. The original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, produced by Studio Trigger and based on CD PROJEKT RED's game, garnered significant acclaim and holds an 8.62 score on MyAnimeList from over 700,000 voters.
Home video releases are planned for North America on October 28th via Aniplex of America, with European releases from Anime Limited and Plaion Pictures, and Australian/New Zealand releases from Sugoi Co. A prequel manga, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS, launched in December 2024 and is receiving a multilingual release, including an English print edition from Dark Horse.
