Pokémon Horizons is bringing its current musical talent into the narrative fold. The production staff announced that the members of CUTIE STREET, who are responsible for the series' current ending theme "Cute na Kyūtai," will provide the voices for the fictional idol group Cutie Pika Pika in the upcoming 147th episode.
Fans of the show will recognize the Cutie Pika Pika group from the visual art featured on the ending theme's CD jacket. This collaboration follows the recent release of a music video for the current opening theme, "Sekai Tsunagare," which features vocals from series leads Minori Suzuki (Liko) and Yuka Terasaki (Roy) and was produced by the acclaimed team at HoneyWorks.
Since its premiere in April 2023, the series has moved through several distinct story arcs, including the "Terastal Debut" and the ongoing "Wonder Voyage" arc, which launched this past May. The show continues to expand its scope by incorporating elements from various Pokémon titles, including Pokémon Go, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Sleep.
Currently available on Netflix, the series has seen steady growth through its third season, Rising Hope. With Saori Den directing and series composition handled by industry veteran Dai Satō, the production continues to blend established franchise lore with the journey of new protagonists Liko and Roy as they travel alongside the Rising Volt Tacklers.
