Crunchyroll has announced that the acclaimed Korean animated feature Your Letter will be added to its "Crunchyroll Anime Nights" theatrical program. The film, which explores themes of bullying and mystery through a magical scavenger hunt, will hit screens across the United States and Canada for a single night on August 17.
Directed by Yong-Hwan Kim, the film is an adaptation of the popular WEBTOON series by Hyeon A Cho. The original source material, which concluded in 2019, holds an impressive 9.98 rating on the platform and recently received a Harvey Award nomination. The narrative follows Sori, a student who finds an anonymous trail of letters at her new school that guides her through a hidden world of friendship and discovery.
Following its North American engagement, the film is set for a Japanese release on September 25 under the title En no Tegami. This version will feature a Japanese dub starring Nako Yabuki and Kenshō Ono, with distribution handled by CoMix Wave Films. The trailer for the Japanese release highlights the film's distinct visual style, which earned it three honors at the Bucheon International Animation Festival, including the Jury Award for Feature Film.
For those who prefer the original print format, the series was released as a single-volume edition by Ize Press in July 2024. Tickets for the August 17 North American screenings are currently available for purchase.
