The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter's original video anime (OVA) episode is now available to stream on Crunchyroll. The streaming platform added the special episode, which serves as episode 13 of the television anime, on Tuesday.
This OVA was previously released as a bonus with the third Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume of the series, which shipped on May 27. Crunchyroll's description of the episode teases a plot point where protagonist Kondou discovers a curious magic tool resembling a kaleidoscope shortly after moving in with Aresh.
The Isekai Office Worker: The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter anime, based on Yatsuki Weakest and Kikka Ohashi's boys-love light novel series, initially premiered in January. It aired on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV, and KBS Kyoto. Crunchyroll is making the series available in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and the Indian Subcontinent.
Studio DEEN animated the series, with Shinji Ishihara directing and Yoshiko Nakamura handling series composition. Both Ishihara and Nakamura have prior experience with BL anime, having worked on titles like Sasaki and Miyano and Super Lovers. The light novel and its manga adaptation have a combined circulation of 1.4 million copies.
