Crunchyroll has announced that the fantasy feature Dive in Wonderland will join its "Crunchyroll Anime Nights" program, with a special one-day theatrical engagement set for November 16 across the United States. The film, which reimagines the classic Lewis Carroll narrative, follows a modern girl named Rise who finds herself transported to a surreal realm where she encounters Alice.
Directed by Toshiya Shinohara, known for his work on The aquatope on white sand and Black Butler, the project was produced by P.A. Works with a script by Yลซko Kakihara. The production also features a notable voice cast, including Nanoka Hara as Rise and Maika Pugh as Alice, alongside Kappei Yamaguchi as the White Rabbit and Toshiyuki Morikawa as the Cheshire Cat. The film's theme song, "Zukan," is performed by the band SEKAI NO OWARI.
While this marks a new theatrical opportunity for the film following its August 2025 Japanese debut, it is not the first time the source material has been adapted for animation. The classic novel previously served as the basis for the 1983-1984 television series produced by Nippon Animation and Apollo Film. Fans interested in the film's visual style can view the newly released English-subtitled trailer, which highlights the studio's signature character design work by Kousuke Kawazura and Mio Fujishima.
