Crunchyroll has significantly bolstered its digital manga catalog by adding 22 new titles from the prominent publisher Shueisha. This latest expansion brings popular series such as Hinomaru Sumo, a sports manga about the competitive world of sumo wrestling, and the romance title Blooming Love to the platform.

Beyond these flagship additions, the service now features a broad selection of other Shueisha works, including Abyss Rage, Alpi the Soul Sender, Arata Primal: The New Primitive, Diamond in the Rough, and Even If You Slit My Mouth. Additionally, readers can find updated chapters for ongoing series like ATOM: The Beginning, Kamen Rider Kuuga, and Somali and the Forest Spirit.

The Crunchyroll Manga app, which launched in late 2023, offers compatibility across mobile devices and web browsers in the United States and Canada. The service operates separately from the main Crunchyroll anime streaming platform. Subscribers to Crunchyroll's Ultimate Fan tier receive complimentary access, while other subscription tiers can add the manga service for an additional fee.

This move represents Crunchyroll's continued investment in its manga offerings. The company previously operated a manga service that simulpubbed titles from Kodansha USA Publishing, though that service concluded in December 2023. The current iteration is powered by the Link-U Group and partners with various publishers, including Viz Media and Yen Press, alongside Shueisha.
