Crunchyroll has launched the English dub for the anime adaptation of Yuki Shiwasu's manga, Tamon's B-Side (Tamon-kun Ima Docchi!?). The streaming service began offering the dubbed version on Thursday. The anime originally premiered on January 1, with Crunchyroll also simulcasting the series as it aired in Japan.
The English dub features Helena Walstrom as voice director and includes Abigail Blythe as Utage and Conner Allison as Tamon, among other cast members. The production team also involved producer Samantha Herek and English script adaptation writer Jessica Sluys.
Directed by Chika Nagaoka at J.C. Staff, Tamon's B-Side features animation oversight from character designer Yōko Itō and scripts written by Chiaki Nagai. The series is produced by Shochiku, King Records, and Hakusensha.
Viz Media licensed the manga, describing the story of high schooler Utage Kinoshita, who works part-time to fund her obsession with Tamon Fukuhara, a member of the boy band F/ACE. Her world turns upside down when she discovers the real Tamon is insecure and considering quitting, prompting Utage to support her idol.
The manga, which debuted in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine in October 2021, also received a nomination for Best Shōjo Manga at Kodansha's 47th annual Manga Awards and was recognized in Kono Manga ga Sugoi!'s 2023 rankings.
