California-based publisher Crossed Hearts used its stage time at Anime NYC to unveil Studio Hearts, an in-house imprint dedicated to original content. The new label will debut with three inaugural titles: Doomsday Requiem With You, Chiaroscuro, and Soul Guiders.
The company’s acquisition spree touches on a variety of formats and regions. New manhwa licenses include Welcome to the Rose Manor and Flirting with the Villain's Dad, while the manga slate adds titles such as The Two of Them Can't Be Mobs, Love Beyond the Final Boss: The Hero's Party's Quest for Love, Emma and the Eyes that Bid Farewell, and Where Sea Meets Shore. The company is also diversifying its Glam Beat and Blush Club imprints with the addition of the Thai comic The Devil in Me and Korean novels Ink Soaked into Ashen Paper and Fairy Trap.
Beyond individual acquisitions, Crossed Hearts has entered a partnership with Thai publisher Lily House to bring more girls-love content to the English market. These titles are joining the company's broader digital catalog, which recently became available on Kadokawa's BookWalker Global storefront.
