Creator Kawaisouni!'s beloved characters Opanchu Usagi and Npochamu are making the leap to 3D animation in a new series titled Kawaisouni! Theater (Kawaisouni! Gekijล). The anime is slated to broadcast as part of NTV's morning program ZIP!, with plans for a global streaming release.

A teaser promotional video for the upcoming anime has been released, offering a first look at the characters in their new animated form. Opanchu Usagi, a creature known for its "pitiful cuteness" and frequent failed attempts at tasks, has achieved significant popularity, topping Japan's "Popular Character Ranking Chosen by Teen Girls" for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025. Npochamu, a yogurt fairy who affectionately adds "chamu" to the end of sentences, ranked third in the same poll in 2024, alongside their supportive friend Kimimaro.

Kawaisouni! themselves is penning the script for the series. Animation production duties fall to Marza Animation Planet, known for their work on titles like Chi's Sweet Adventure and the film Lupin III THE FIRST. SKY Perfect Pictures and NTV are jointly producing the anime.
