The narrative surrounding Suuna and Ruka’s unconventional arrangement is coming to a close. Houbunsha confirmed that Convenient Semi-Friend, the manga series by Minori Chigusa, will publish its final chapter in the October issue of Manga Time Kirara, scheduled for release on September 9.
The series follows the story of Suuna, a reserved high school student who discovers her new dorm roommate, Ruka, is looking for a "friend with benefits." This leads to the pair establishing a unique "(semi) friends with benefits" contract. The manga originally debuted as a guest miniseries in the spring of 2023 before transitioning into a full-time serialization that June.
For international readers, Yen Press manages the English-language distribution of the title. While the Japanese release has reached four compiled volumes as of April 2026, the English editions are still rolling out, with the third volume slated for a January 2027 release.
