The Comic CMOA manga platform, operated by NTT Solmare Corporation, remains offline following an emergency maintenance period initiated last Thursday. According to reports, the service confirmed that unauthorized external access to its servers resulted in the leakage of member data, including email addresses, dates of birth, genders, nicknames, and hashed passwords.
NTT Solmare stated that it has identified the cause of the breach and is currently working with specialized organizations to implement preventive measures. While the company is preparing to restore access, it noted that coordination with relevant authorities and the implementation of additional safety protocols make it difficult to provide a specific timeline for the service's return.
Regarding the scope of the incident, the service confirmed that credit card information is not stored on the affected system and was not compromised. Additionally, there is no evidence that purchase history or data within users' "My Bookshelf" sections were accessed or damaged. The platform is currently conducting a detailed review of retrieved system log files to determine if any further member information was exposed and intends to contact affected users once the review is complete.
