Comet Lucifer, a 2015 mecha series, has arrived on HIDIVE with both English dub and subtitled options. The 12-episode anime follows Sougo Amagi, a young boy living in the prosperous mining town of Garden Indigo, who discovers a mysterious girl named Fio. Their encounter sets off an adventure involving the planet's valuable crystalline substance, Giftium, and the secrets it holds.
The series, which aired in Fall 2015, is an original anime production from Bandai Visual and Lantis, featuring mecha designs by Masayoshi Tanaka and direction by Yasuhito Kikuchi. It explores themes of adventure, fantasy, and real robot action, set against a backdrop of cyberpunk and steampunk aesthetics.
