The second season of the Clevatess II anime, subtitled -The King of Magical Beasts and the Legend of the False Hero-, has released its second full promotional video and a new key visual. The trailer offers a preview of the ending theme song "Awake Anew," performed by the musical unit MYTH & ROID.
Joining the cast are Misaki Kuno as Sarasa, Kōtarō Nishiyama as Edison, Akira Sekine as Mirea, and Shirō Sano as Romain. These additions follow previously announced new cast members Shūichirō Umeda, Yurina Kikuchi, Tatsumaru Tachibana, Ryōta Suzuki, and Hiromu Mineta. The anime stars Haruka Shiraishi as Alicia, Mutsumi Tamura as Clen, Yūichi Nakamura as Clevatess, and Saya Aizawa as Luna.
Kiyotaka Taguchi, who previously worked as a kaiju designer for SSSS.Dynazenon, returns to direct the second season at Studio Lay-duce. Keigo Koyanagi and Souichirou Sako are also back as series script supervisor and character designer/chief animation director, respectively. The anime is set to premiere in July, with Crunchyroll confirmed to stream the season.
The first season of the anime aired in July 2025. Yen Press is publishing Yuji Iwahara's original manga in English, with the first volume scheduled for release on August 25. The story centers on Clevatess, a powerful dark beast lord, who unexpectedly finds himself burdened with a human infant after vowing revenge on humanity.
