The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Nyan Nyan Factory's Chainsmoker Cat manga has released its main promotional video, offering a preview of the opening theme song, "Nanmonee," performed by the rock band Wasureranneyo. Additionally, the anime revealed that Necry Talkie will be performing the ending theme, "Kemuri to Blue." The series is slated to begin airing on July 2 at 12:30 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and BS11, with AT-X broadcasting starting July 25.

New staff members have also been announced, including Yukiko Maruyama and Shōtarō Yoshino as Art Directors, Yuiha Ōta for Color Design, Hisashi Yonezawa as Compositing Director of Photography, Mutsumi Takemiya on editing, and Takatoshi Hamano serving as Sound Director with Magic Capsule handling sound production. Taku Kimura, known for his work on Kairyū to Yūbinya-san and Star Wars: Visions' "Tattooine Rhapsody," is directing the anime at Bibury Animation Studio. Takashi Aoshima, who worked on Himouto! Umaruchan and The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, is writing the scripts.

The voice cast features Yūko Natsuyoshi as the titular Yani Neko, Misato Matsuoka as Yaku Neko, Yurie Funato as Hame Neko, Ayaka Shimizu as Kansai Neko, Shiori Izawa as Al Neko, and Riko Akechi as Tatsurō Ochinpo. Tetsu Inada will voice the Landlord.

Seven Seas is publishing the manga in English, describing the comedy as centering on Yani, a catgirl struggling with a severe smoking habit and a perpetually messy apartment. The manga is currently serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine, with its 12th compiled volume released in Japan on May 20. Seven Seas will release the third English volume on June 16.
