The Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise will see a brand-new television anime series debut in 2027, coinciding with the franchise's 15th anniversary. Details regarding the new series' story and cast have yet to be revealed.
Before the new TV anime arrives, fans can experience the conclusion of the current DivineZ saga with a theatrical anime film. Titled Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Unmei Seisen-hen (Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez The Fated Star Battle Arc), the film is set to open in Japanese theaters on October 2. Kinema Citrus is handling animation duties, with CLAMP returning to provide original character designs.
This announcement follows the recent conclusion of the latest TV anime installment, Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Genma Seisen-hen, which aired its final episode on Saturday. This series marked the 10th season within the franchise's ongoing 'D Series' of anime adaptations, which began with Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress in 2021. Bushiroad had previously outlined plans for up to nine seasons in the D Series, later confirming intentions for a tenth season and beyond.
