Bushiroad has expanded its digital offerings by releasing the complete three-episode run of the Ghost Meets Gal mini anime on the official Cardfight!! Vanguard YouTube channel. The short-form series, which adapts the manga by Kaeru DX, is currently available for viewing with Japanese audio and English subtitles.
Produced by studio AtoriE, the project features Karin Kagami, known for her role in Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress, as the voice of Rubuna, alongside Yūka Nishio—who voices Nao Inabe in the Divinez series—as Santi. The production also highlights the musical talents of the BanG Dream! band Mugendai Mewtype, who perform the theme song, "Nikoichi Mirai."
While this mini-series provides a lighthearted tie-in, the broader Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise continues its rapid pace of production. The "D Series" of the anime, which began in 2021, has already spanned multiple seasons and arcs, with Bushiroad recently confirming plans to extend the series beyond its original nine-season roadmap. A new television project is already slated for 2027 to commemorate the franchise's 15th anniversary.
With the Divinez storyline continuing to evolve, it remains to be seen how these smaller, character-focused shorts will integrate into the franchise's long-term release strategy.
