Yumi Unita, best known for her poignant slice-of-life work Bunny Drop, is set to debut a new series in the upcoming issue of Shodensha's Feel Young magazine. Titled Heights Nanten 2-mei-sama Gentei Desu, the manga will officially begin its run on September 8. The author confirmed the news via social media, accompanied by a preview of the upcoming series' art style.
This project follows the recent conclusion of Unita's Nekomata Shirushi no Somemonoya-san, which wrapped up its serialization in Manga Life Original this past April. With the final volume of that series arriving on August 17, Unita is shifting her focus entirely to this new Feel Young venture, the same publication that hosted the original run of her career-defining hit, Bunny Drop.
While Bunny Drop remains her most recognizable work—spanning a 2005–2011 serialization, a 2011 anime adaptation by Production I.G, and a live-action film—Unita has maintained a steady output of shorter works, including Slumbering Beauty, which was released in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. Readers can expect the author to bring her signature character-focused storytelling to this latest venture.
