Manga artist Kana Ozawa has officially announced her next project, a new series titled Ao Sansan (Blue Brilliance). The creator shared the news via her social media channels, noting that the title is a story she has been actively developing for several years. While the series is confirmed to launch this December, specific details regarding the publication medium or platform have not yet been disclosed.

Ozawa is widely recognized for her work on the aviation-focused manga Blue Thermal -Aonagi Daigaku Taiiku-kai Kōkū-bu-, which ran from 2014 to 2017. That series later expanded into a broader franchise, including the prequel Blue Thermal: First Flight and a 2022 anime film adaptation. Her portfolio also includes the manga Blue Moment, which received a live-action television adaptation in 2024.

Why it matters: Ozawa’s transition to a new original story follows a period of significant franchise expansion for her previous works. With the serialization window set for December, readers are currently waiting for confirmation on whether this new title will appear in a traditional print magazine or a digital-first platform.
