Koei Tecmo's Gust studio has released a trailer showcasing the upcoming Blue Reflection Quartet, a compilation of the franchise's four main entries. The collection bundles the original Blue Reflection, the anime Blue Reflection Ray, the smartphone game Blue Reflection Sun, and Blue Reflection Second Light into a single package for digital release on July 30.
The trailer highlights new story elements and gameplay features across the included titles. The original Blue Reflection receives graphical enhancements and quality-of-life improvements. Blue Reflection Ray is adapted into a new game format focusing on memory fragments, featuring fully re-recorded dialogue from the anime. Blue Reflection Sun's story is rearranged with gameplay mechanics inspired by Second Light, and includes new story scenes and bridging prologues/epilogues. Blue Reflection Second Light itself gets enhancements, including faster exploration, quicker battles, and the addition of eight characters from the other games to its battle system.
Beyond the games, Blue Reflection Quartet offers extensive series-wide content. Players will find an interactive character relationship chart, a timeline of events, a glossary of terms, and a gallery containing past artwork alongside 20 new pieces by character designer Mel Kishida. The original Blue Reflection launched in 2017, followed by the anime Blue Reflection Ray in 2021. Blue Reflection Second Light released in late 2021, and Blue Reflection Sun was available on mobile and PC until its service ended in May 2024.
