The production team for the Bless television anime has confirmed that Kentarō Kumagai will voice the character MM. This announcement arrived alongside a new character promotional video, providing viewers with a fresh look at the series' aesthetic ahead of its scheduled debut in January 2027. The show is slated to air as part of Fuji TV's prestigious Noitamina programming block.

Kumagai joins a growing cast that includes Tomohiro Ōno as Aia Udagawa and Chiyuki Miura as Jun Sumisaki. The project is currently in production at A-1 Pictures under the direction of Shōtarō Kitamura, with Fukurou Kamiza handling series composition. The visual identity of the show is being shaped by character designer and chief animation director Honoka Yokoyama, alongside a robust team of chief animation directors including Tetsuya Kawakami and Reina Iwasaki.

Based on the manga by Yukino Sonoyama, the story explores themes of self-definition and beauty standards within the fashion industry. The source material, which moved from Shonen Magazine Edge to Monthly Shonen Sirius, has reached a circulation of over 1.25 million copies. Kodansha currently distributes the series in English, both through physical volumes and its digital K MANGA platform.

Beyond the animated series, the franchise is expanding into live-action territory with an Amazon Prime Video exclusive series set to premiere in spring 2027. With both an anime and a live-action project on the horizon, the coming months will likely clarify how each production interprets the manga's core narrative about overcoming arbitrary social systems.
