The supernatural comedy manga Black Channel by Satoshi Kisaichi is officially receiving a television anime adaptation. The announcement was made via the official X/Twitter account for Shogakukan's Coro Coro Comics magazine, which also shared a celebratory illustration.

Kisaichi began serialization of Black Channel in Coro Coro Comics in 2020, and the series remains ongoing. The manga's plot centers on a demon named Black who ventures into the human world with the goal of creating viral video content. Black aims to uncover and expose the hidden aspects of human life, games, and various hobbies, assisted by his high-efficiency partner, the camera demon Camera-chan. Shogakukan released the 13th compiled volume of the manga on December 26.

This television anime will not be the first animated adaptation of Kisaichi's work. A previous anime adaptation of Black Channel debuted on YouTube in September 2020. Additionally, a spin-off short manga titled Black Channel: Breaking The Wall ran in Coro Coro Comics from June to August 2022 and also received a YouTube anime adaptation in August 2022.
