Point Set has confirmed that the dark fantasy series Berserk of Gluttony will return for a second season in 2027. To celebrate the announcement, the studio released a video message from lead voice actor Ryōta Ōsaka, who reprises his role as the cursed protagonist, Fate Graphite. The news follows a quiet period for the franchise since the conclusion of its 12-episode debut season in late 2023.

The first season, animated by studio ACGT, successfully adapted the opening three volumes of Ichika Isshiki and fame's light novel series. Fans who followed the initial run on Crunchyroll—which provided both subbed and dubbed versions—saw Fate navigate a world where his "Gluttony" skill forces him into a cycle of constant hunger and combat. The series solidified its place in the fantasy genre with a blend of action and character-driven progression, with Blu-ray releases concluding in March 2024.

While the production team for the upcoming season has yet to be fully detailed, the series maintains a strong foundation through its source material, which is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. Beyond the primary light novels and the ongoing manga adaptation by Daisuke Takino, the franchise has expanded to include the Berserk of Gluttony Mini side stories. With a three-year gap between seasons, the production now has ample room to adapt deeper into the evolving power dynamics of Fate and his sentient blade, Greed.
