Game Freak has pulled back the curtain on Beast of Reincarnation with a new trailer focused on the title's core combat mechanics. The footage provides a clearer look at the technical, demanding action system that players will navigate as they guide the outcast Emma and her loyal dog, Koo, through a corrupted, post-apocalyptic Japan.
Set in a landscape where dangerous environments shift and evolve, the game emphasizes the growing bond between the two leads as they unlock strange, latent powers. The combat is designed to be a central pillar of the experience, requiring precision as players traverse the treacherous wasteland.
Voice actress Yui Ishikawa leads the cast as Emma, joined by a veteran ensemble including Akio Ōtsuka, Sumire Morohoshi, and Akira Ishida. This project marks a shift for the studio, which is globally recognized for its long-standing work on the Pokémon franchise, most recently with the 2025 release of Pokémon Legends Z-A.
Beast of Reincarnation is set to arrive on August 4 for PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass will also be able to access the title on its launch day.
