Studio Tina and Studio Dragon have officially partnered to develop a live-action series based on NEON B's webtoon Bad Boss. The companies announced the early development stage of the project on Monday, though specific production schedules and distribution plans are still pending.
First serialized on Lezhin Comics in 2013, Bad Boss has achieved significant popularity, accumulating over 2 million subscribers. The story follows Seung-gyu, a successful account executive who built a new life after a past involving exploitation. His carefully constructed world is threatened when his former roommate, Min, reappears as a new recruit at his company, reigniting Seung-gyu's desire for revenge.
The webtoon's narrative centers on Seung-gyu's struggle to maintain his current life and career as his obsession with retribution grows. The series will explore whether he can navigate the consequences of his past and his pursuit of vengeance.
