The upcoming stop-motion television anime adaptation of CHOCOLATE Inc.'s CG film short Babies of Bread has released its second promotional video, revealing the full voice cast. The video highlights a lineup largely consisting of comedians.
Key cast members include Ruka Yura as Agnes, Riko Takayama as Billy, Nagiko Tsuji as Chomolungma, Santena as Deden, Chika Tanabe as Doughnut Baby, Takuya Koyama as French Bread Baby, Takayuki Yamada as Croissant Baby, Shiori Doi as Ho Croissant, Maki Takahashi as Turtle Bread Baby, Yūsuke Iwasaki as Crow, and KOPERU as Ant.
The series is set to premiere on July 4, airing during the Doyō wa Nanisuru!? programming block on Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. JST on KTV, Fuji TV, and their affiliated networks. Haruka Ichikawa returns to helm the project as director, writer, and planner, collaborating with CHOCOLATE Inc. and dwarf studios. Riki Fuhrmann is handling character designs, with Takao Ogi returning to compose the music.
The original CG film short, which premiered on YouTube in December 2024, is set in a city bakery and follows "baby bread" characters like Cream Bun and Croissant as they try to stop a burglar. The anime adaptation expands on this premise with additional staff including producers Miyu Kobashi, Chiaki Satō, and Shōko Kawakami, and animators Rikuto Konagaya and Gen Kobayashi.
