The romantic comedy manga "Jirai nan desu ka? Chihara-san" is set to receive a television anime adaptation slated for Winter 2026. The series hails from SynergySP, the studio also known for "Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet" and "Tsurezure Children."

The story follows Kuroki, a reserved high school student who finds his quiet life disrupted when he's assigned a seat next to Mai Chihara. Rumored to be a dangerous "jirai-kei" type, her doll-like appearance and somber demeanor fuel the gossip, but Kuroki soon discovers a more complex personality beneath the rumors.

Produced by King Records, the anime will explore the developing relationship between Kuroki and the enigmatic Chihara, blending comedic misunderstandings with budding romance. The adaptation promises to capture the quirky charm of the original manga for fans of high school romantic comedies.
