Roku Sakura, creator of the romantic comedy April Showers Bring May Flowers (Busu ni Hanataba o), is launching a new series titled I Won't Die Until I've Made My Childhood Friend Happy!! (Osananajimi o Shiawase ni Suru Made Shinenai!!). The manga will debut in the July issue of Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine on June 4, with the issue's cover dedicated to the new work.

The romantic comedy centers on Momiji Koyama, who harbors deep affection for her two childhood friends, Ryō and Aohi. Momiji becomes convinced that Ryō and Aohi are romantically involved and dedicates herself to making their relationship a reality. Unbeknownst to her, both boys are actually in love with Momiji herself.

Sakura's previous manga, April Showers Bring May Flowers, concluded its run in Young Ace in September 2022. Yen Press publishes the series in English. A special edition spin-off, April Showers Bring May Flowers: Bloom, also concluded in September 2025. The original manga was adapted into a 13-episode anime series by SILVER LINK. that aired in Summer 2025 and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
