The second season of the soccer drama Aoashi is set to hit the pitch on October 4, with a newly released promotional video offering a first look at the upcoming arc and its musical accompaniment. The trailer highlights the series' new theme songs: 10-FEET provides the opening track, titled "Fortress Defense," while Ai Higuchi performs the ending theme, "Triangle."
Production duties for the series have shifted to TMS Entertainment, replacing the first season's studio, Production I.G. The leadership has also seen a transition, with Kazuki Yokoyama stepping in as director. While Manabu Nakatake remains on board for character design, he is now joined by newcomers Asami Taguchi and Junko Yamanaka. Despite these changes, several core staff members are returning to maintain continuity, including script supervisor Masahiro Yokotani and composer Masaru Yokoyama.
Based on Yūgo Kobayashi’s award-winning manga, which concluded its 40-volume run in 2025, the series follows Ashito Aoi as he transitions from a local talent in Ehime to the high-stakes world of Tokyo’s youth soccer leagues. With the manga having surpassed 15 million copies in circulation, the anime remains a central pillar of the franchise. While the first season is currently available on platforms like Crunchyroll, it remains to be seen how the transition to TMS Entertainment will influence the visual direction of the series compared to its predecessor.
