Adapted from Ren Kawahara’s manga, the show centers on Ao Horie, a high schooler desperate to escape the shadow of her father—a famous erotic author—by focusing solely on her studies. Her plans derail when a popular classmate, Takumi Kijima, confesses his feelings, triggering a series of increasingly absurd, over-the-top internal fantasies that make it impossible for Ao to focus on anything but her own spiraling libido.
While the show leans heavily into its ecchi roots, it succeeds primarily as a satire of the classic "misunderstanding" trope.
